Astral Avarice

Money is great! With the recent growth of interplanetary settlements, there is a desperate need for large scale power solutions. And where there’s people in need, there’s serious cash to be made. Provide them power, and they won’t question what else you get up to out in space in your pursuits of greater profits.

In Astral Avarice, you run a power company spanning an entire solar system. Your one goal, Money! While you might have to start small providing power to small houses via solar panels or coal plants, you’ll quickly build to giant geothermal plants able to power entire cities. Just be aware, with how light some of these planets are, your structures are likely to impact the gravitational forces across the system. You’ll have to either build carefully, or an asteroid might crash into a planet destroying all your hard work. Though that might be just what you need to get some stubborn people who won’t sell their land evicted. After all, there’s money to be made, and nothing can stand in your way of becoming the wealthiest person in the whole system.

Controls:

Left Mouse: Select and place buildings, interact with UI

Right Mouse: Deselect and cancel

Middle Mouse/Space: While held, camera will pan with mouse movement

Escape: Pause game

-/+ keys: Decrease or increase game speed respectively

R: Redistribute power

NOTE: The Windows build is the legacy (jam-original) build of the game. The most up-to-date version is the browser version. The Windows version also lacks an exit button to keep it true to how it was submitted to the jam.
